Season and Story Catering

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before booking services with Season and Story Catering ("we", "us", or "our"). By confirming a booking, you ("Client" or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Services
Season and Story Catering provides custom catering services, including but not limited to:

Plated dinners
-
Cocktail & canapé receptions
-
Family-style service
-
Grazing tables & boards
-
Buffet & self-serve stations
-
Casual event catering
-
Drop-off catering
-
Corporate catering
Details of each service, including menu options, pricing, and staffing, will be outlined in a written proposal or quote provided before booking.
2. Bookings & Deposits

A non-refundable deposit of [Insert % or flat fee] is required to confirm your booking.

The remaining balance is due no later than 14 days before the event date.

Bookings are not confirmed until deposit payment is received and a signed service agreement is returned.
3. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations must be made in writing.

Deposits are non-refundable.

Cancellations made:
-
More than 14 days before the event: No further fees apply.

14 days or fewer before the event: 50% of the total cost is due.

Less than 48 hours before the event: Full payment is due.

4. Changes & Final Headcount

Final guest count and menu selections are due 14 days prior to the event.

Increases in guest count are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

Decreases in headcount after the deadline will not be refunded.
5. Client Responsibilities
The client is responsible for ensuring adequate access to event venues, including kitchens or prep areas when applicable.
For drop-off catering, clients must provide a safe and suitable location for food delivery. Season and Story Catering is not responsible for delays due to inaccessible delivery areas or inaccurate delivery information.
6. Food Allergies & Dietary Restrictions

We are happy to accommodate dietary needs with advance notice.

However, our kitchen may handle common allergens (e.g., nuts, dairy, gluten & shellfish), and we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment, unless it is specified.

For clients requiring gluten-free catering, Season and Story Catering can provide a dedicated gluten-free environment to help ensure safety and avoid cross-contamination.

While we take all reasonable precautions, clients must communicate any dietary needs in writing at least 14 days prior to the event.

The client agrees to inform guests of potential allergens and releases Season and Story Catering from liability related to undisclosed allergies or last-minute changes in dietary needs.

7. Liability

We take food safety and professionalism seriously.

However, Season and Story Catering shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our services.

The client agrees to assume responsibility for any damage to rented or provided equipment during the event.
8. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, strikes, pandemics, or extreme weather.
9. Photography & Promotion
Unless otherwise agreed, we reserve the right to photograph food and event setups for use in marketing and promotional materials. Client identities and event details will remain private unless written permission is granted.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed by the laws of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that location.
11. Acceptance
By confirming a booking with Season and Story Catering, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
